DIY design decor paper

    Maybe you can't find what you are looking for, maybe can't find them at all (which is usually my problem), either case here are some ideas to make your own design/ pattern paper...


1. Coffee/ tea stained paper. It is easy to make - all you need to do is to soak the paper in coffee or tea and let the paper dry. The result is often unpredictable and therefore unique, but you can control the intensity of the colour by adjusting the concentration.




2. Ink, acrylic or other medium stamped pattern paper. This one can be the most fun one, the design and pattern combinations are almost endless. You can find and buy stamps with a design you like online or you can try to make your own. 

3. Recycled paper. This one might feel like a unusual choice, but recycled paper still can be used as a design paper to use as a book binding endpaper, for example.

           Don't judge a book by its cover. That's true, but still, you can change the cover to better match the contents inside. There is no one way to style your cover, but here are some of the ideas.     Vinyl wallpaper has a bonus that makes it easy to work with. Because of its relative softness in comparison to paper, when gluing to a cover, it wrinkles much less. This way you can use the various designs found at the shops or create a new design by turning it over and using the blank side. The end result gives you a soft textured feel and look.
