Handmade notebook ideas

 This is a collection of the few notebooks I have recently made. Maybe you can draw some inspiration from these ideas. It is possible that I'll post tutorials for some of the books too. 

Green handmade notebook with recycled pages
The one pictured above is made from recycled paper which has been dyed green. Cover is made with green wrapping paper and cardboard and the back (which is hard to see) is vinyl wallpaper. 

Blue handmade notebook with recycle paper
This one is exactly the same as the green one, except the wrapping paper is blue and the recycled paper text block has no dye.

Handmade recycled paper notebook
Similar as above but the main difference is that the cover is all vinyl wallpaper.

Handmade notebook with dyed edges
But this one although is similar to previous one, has a different textblock which is made with 80g paper - ordinary computer paper with dyed edges.

    It might sound like a hard task, but it really is simpler than it looks. On the plus side this whole process doesn't take very long and is quite relaxing with a added bonus of being productive. Here I am using recycled paper to create a stitched text block, but you can really use any paper of your choosing. The reason the sheets are folded this way is because I was making a photo album.

Different ways to decorate a handmade notebook

           Don't judge a book by its cover. That's true, but still, you can change the cover to better match the contents inside. There is no one way to style your cover, but here are some of the ideas.     Vinyl wallpaper has a bonus that makes it easy to work with. Because of its relative softness in comparison to paper, when gluing to a cover, it wrinkles much less. This way you can use the various designs found at the shops or create a new design by turning it over and using the blank side. The end result gives you a soft textured feel and look.
