DIY Gift Idea: Money frame

You don't need much for this craft, only some essentials:
 1.Pieace of cardboard for the base;
 2.Picture frame;
 3.A banknote (I used old Russian banknotes from the time of the last Tzar)
 and
 4. Glue

 Now it only requires assembly. The way how the money is held in place can differ. I used the way which was used in the old photo albums, i.e. making incision in the cardboard at the place where each corner of the banknotes would be held.

Because of its relative softness in comparison to paper, when gluing to a cover, it wrinkles much less. This way you can use the various designs found at the shops or create a new design by turning it over and using the blank side. The end result gives you a soft textured feel and look.
