DIY Paper flowers

    It is nice to have and to present someone with a bunch of paper flowers. Not only because they look beautiful and can be made in any colour, but because they last forever. Well, with some exceptions.

Paper flowers

    First you will need a squared sheet of paper. Colour of your choosing.
Instruction1and2

    Start with the coloured side up (if one side is blank). Fold it in half as seen in the first step above. Then flip the sheet over and fold it diagonally as seen in the second step.

instruction3

    Now fold it like it is seen in the third step.

instruction5and6
    Repeat the fourth step with all the sides until you have a shape that is shown in the step 5. Now fold the corners of the diamond inward as in step 6.

instruction7and8
Then fold the whole shape in half and fold back. Now using the folding lines repeat step 8 until you have shape as shown in step 9.

instruction91011
There is not much left. Now fold down each of the triangles until it looks like the shape in step 11 and flip it over so that the single top is facing downward.

instruction1213
Repeat step 12 on all sides and you should be left with the shape like in the step 13.
instruction1415
Now fold down all of the four ''flower petals'' and you have a nice little flower.

To make a true flower it would be nice to have a stem so the the flowers could be arranged in a vase for example.

Seven paper flowers

Tools needed
For this we will need:
1. A wire of some sorts ( length of your choosing ).;
2. Paper glue;
3. Pliers;
4. Coloured paper;

Making paper columns
    Cut the wire in similar pieces. Take the paper and freely rip it up in columns.

making flower stem

    Make a little loop at the end of the wire using pliers. Then push it through the centre of the flower as seen in the picture above. To stop the flower from moving freely, put a bit of glue in the flower at the wire.

wrapping flower stem
    After the glue has dried, smear the paper columns with glue and then wrap it around the wire until the very end.

After repeating these steps you should now have a beautiful set of everlasting flowers.
